Occupational Safety, Health and Environment Committee of the Workplace
Duration 2 (two) working days (12 hours)

The Ministerial Regulation on the Prescribing of Standard for Administration and Management of Occupational Safety, Health and Environment B.E. 2549 (2006) provides that the employer in all fourteen types of workplace shall appoint a safety officer(s) in management level. Workplaces according to items 1 – 5 with two employees or more and to items 6 – 14 with twenty employees or more shall assign their management-level employees to attend the 12-hour training course of safety officer in management level and appoint these employees as a safety officer in management level to perform their duties according to the law. The top management has foreseen the importance of safety as the first priority and is hopefully that this training and seminar will enable their management-level employees or “safety officers in management level” to establish the safety policy and direction of the organization, create the safety management system, provide both financial and resource supports, be committed to driving the safety administration, and apply the knowledge obtained in their operations and the number of accidents and losses in the workplace can eventually be reduced.

(B) Main essence of relevant workplace safety laws
-Subject 3: Role/duty of occupational safety, health and environment committee of the workplace
(A) Control and prevention of work-related accidents

(B) Safety survey

Objectives

Successful participants will:

  1. have a better knowledge and understanding on the establishment of safety policy and plan,
  2. know, realize and follow the role/duty of the occupational safety, health and environment committee, and
  3. know the causes of work-related accidents and diseases in order to determine preventive measures as well as be able to find, investigate and inspect the accidents.

Target audience

  1. Employer or employer’s management-level representative as the committee chairman
  2. Employer’s supervising-level representative and employee’s representative elected by employees in the workplace
  3. Safety officers in advanced technical or professional levels
  4. Those appointed as a member of the occupational safety, health and environment committee by both employer and employees

**Successful participants who have attended completely 12 (twelve) house of training as required by law will be given a certificate**
** Post-test score must not be less than 60 percent **
