Training and Seminar Safety Officer in Supervisor Level
Duration 2 (two) working days (12 hours)

The Ministerial Regulation on the Prescribing of Standard for Administration and Management of Occupational Safety, Health and Environment B.E. 2549 (2006) provides that the employer in all fourteen types of workplace shall appoint a safety officer(s) in supervisor level. Workplaces according to items 1 – 5 with two employees or more and to items 6 – 14 with twenty employees or more shall assign their supervisor-level employees to attend the 12-hour training course of safety officer in supervisor level and appoint these employees as a safety officer in supervisor level to perform their duties according to the law. The management has foreseen the importance of safety and is hopefully that this training and seminar will enable their supervisor-level employees or “safety officers in supervisor level” to apply the knowledge obtained in their operations and the number of accidents and losses of life and property in the workplace can eventually be reduced.

(A) Prevention and control of hazards due to machinery

Objectives

Successful participants will:

  1. Have a better knowledge and understanding on the safety at work,
  2. Know the role and duty of a safety officer in supervisor level,
  3. know the causes of work-related accidents and diseases in order to determine preventive measures, and
  4. use the knowledge obtained as a guideline in managing the occupational safety and health in order to reduce the number of accidents and losses in the workplace.

Target audience

  1. Supervisor-level employees with subordinates, such as foremen or supervisors, and section leaders who have a role of supervision, control and direction.

**Successful participants who have attended completely 12 (twelve) house of training as required by law will be given a certificate**
** Post-test score must not be less than 60 percent **
